About Hagit Shaked-Gvili

Hagit Shaked-Gvili is a full time ADR specialist and one of Israel’s mediation pioneers. Known for her ability to deal with matters that involve cross-cultural and complex commercial, legal, and emotional issues, she has settled thousands of cases in Israel and abroad.

Ms. Shaked was the founder and then director of the first case management and Alternative Dispute Resolution court program in the Tel Aviv District (1998). The success of the program led to implementation of its methods in other Israeli Court districts.

She served as a member of the Tel Aviv Bar Association ADR Committee, as well as a member of the International Mediation Committee of the American Bar Association. She advised the Israeli Administration of Courts and the Rubinstein Committee on the exploration of the use of ADR in Israeli Courts.

Ms. Shaked is the embodiment of the notion that an individual is a reflection of both heredity and environment. She was born and raised in Akko, one of the only Israeli cities where Christians, Jews, and Muslims live in integrated co-existence. From early childhood, she was exposed to the difficulties arising from the multi-cultural population that characterizes Israel. Her attraction to conflict resolution, together with her sensitivity to fairness and justice, led her to pursue a career in the legal arena.

Mediation and Arbitration Practice

Since 2012, Ms. Shaked has been a partner of A. Gabrieli & Co., one of Israel’s leading dispute resolution law firms, with extensive experience in commercial litigation and civil law, and an emphasis on the resolution of complex and multi-party legal disputes, both in Israel and around the world.

Ms. Shaked approaches each case with a sense of responsibility and commitment to helping the parties resolve their disagreements in the most efficient, professional and equitable manner possible. Her unique dispute resolution method is characterized by a thorough, well-informed management of an impartial, proactive, creative and focused process, with the clear objective of reaching the best possible solution for the parties.

Two decades of practical experience in conducting legally and emotionally complex mediation and arbitration procedures allows her to effectively and successfully manage the mediation process, from developing a negotiation strategy, to formulating the agreement.
