Ahmed Abou Zeid is the Vice President of the Court of Cassation, the highest appellate Court in Egypt and serves as head of the International Relations office at the Court.

About Ahmed Abou Zeid

Justice Abou Zeid has extensive experience in the fields of Criminal Justice, trial advocacy, and commercial disputes as a public prosecutor and judge. In 2006, he was appointed a chief prosecutor at the commercial division of the Court of Cassation. He holds a Bachelor of Law and LL.M. in Criminal Justice from Ain- Shams University. He received an LL.M. on Commercial Law from EL-MANSOURA University.

He is the official instructor for mediation of the ABA Rule of Law Initiative in Egypt. He leads a series of workshops designed for Egyptian judges at the National Center for Judicial studies, in cooperation with judges and mediators from the U.S.

  • Conducted research on the Role of Shoura Assembly in the Egyptian Constitutional Law. This research was presented to the Faculty of Law- Ain Shams University (1994).
