Chen Guang has more than twenty-three years of legal experience as a corporate lawyer, ADR professional, and adjunct professor at China University of Political Science and Law.

She has served as general counsel of CreditEase, PCCW China, as Deputy Legal Director of Dell China, and as a corporate lawyer in the Jun He and Kangda Law Firm.

Ms. Chen has more than ten years of ADR experience as an arbitrator and mediator in various Chinese arbitration and mediations institutions, such as Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, Qing Dao Arbitration Commission, Langfang Arbitration Commission, Mediation Center for Dispute in Shanghai Banking Industry, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Beijing International Arbitration Center, among others.

She is also a frequent lecturer on ADR in domestic and international conferences, seminars, and universities.

Arbitration, Mediation, and Litigation Practice

As an arbitrator, mediator, and practicing lawyer, Ms. Chen has heard and mediated hundreds of cases with a high rate of settlement. She has also represented clients in arbitration, mediation and litigation proceedings, including but not limited to, disputes in the following areas:

ADR Achievements and Training

  • Ms. Chen was awarded a Weinstein JAMS International Fellowship (2011).
  • She was among the first commercial mediators appointed and listed on the mediators’ panel of the Beijing Arbitration Commission Mediation Center.
  • She has introduced and combined western mediation teaching and training skills with Chinese culture in her negotiation and dispute resolution courses for LL.M law students at the China University of Political Science and Law and Beijing Normal University.
  • Received certified mediation training by Beijing International Arbitration Center, in collaboration with the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law (2011)
  • Learned mediation skills and knowledge by shadowing mediation cases in the US courts, community mediation centers, and at private mediation service centers (2011)
  • Certified advanced mediation and negotiation training at Harvard Law School, Program On Negotiation (2011)
  • As a visiting legal practitioner, spent one semester at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law (2010)
