Tatsiana Bialiayeva is a lawyer, commercial mediator, and mediation and business negotiation trainer in Belarus.
She is a regional mediator for the Compliance Advisory Office of the World Bank and was invited as one of two mediators to assist in the resolution of a lengthy and ongoing case involving several International Finance Corporation projects and forced labor issues in Uzbekistan. She further serves on the panel of mediators at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus and on the panel of neutrals at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
Ms. Bialiayeva is a Ph.D. candidate at the Belarussian State University, and her academic work is devoted to international commercial mediation.
As a lawyer and certified mediator, Ms. Bialiayeva is recognized in international legal ratings (Legal 500 and IFLR1000).
Litigation Practice
Ms. Bialiayeva advises foreign clients on commercial and labor matters and dispute resolution, including: international commercial arbitration, cross-border, and domestic commercial cases.

Mediation Practice
Ms. Bialiayeva has mediated commercial and labor cases in the U.S., Lithuania, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. She is the first mediator and mediation trainer in Belarus with extensive international experience. She was a member of several pilot projects conducted by the High Economic and Supreme Courts of Belarus on commercial and labor mediation development in the state courts of Belarus. Ms. Bialiayeva was a member of the working group on the development of the Draft Law on Mediation, and is currently a member of the working group on amendments to the national law on mediation.
Ms. Bialiayeva works in close connection with the state courts to incorporate court-referred mediation models in the domestic court system. She is a mediation trainer and trains domestic and foreign judges, attorneys, and mediators in the field of mediation in Belarus and abroad (Ukraine, USA, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan).
Her diverse mediation experience includes cases in the areas of:
- Disputes between local communities and international lenders (banks, international financial organizations)
- Property and real estate, joint development, landlord/tenant, intellectual property
- Contracts, including: commercial contracts, sub-contracts, vendor disputes
- Commercial, founder disputes, IT disputes, transfer of business, partnership, cross border commercial disputes, consumer disputes
- Company disputes, shareholder issues, oppression and mismanagement, business termination
- Environmental disputes
